Web Runtime Plugin Installation for

Aptana Studio & Aptana Studio Plugin for Eclipse

Below are instructions for installation of the WRT Plugin.

It may be installed via any one of the following methods in stand-alone Aptana or in Eclipse
with Aptana plug-in installed.

Two of these methods are specific to Aptana Studio and the other two methods are based on the Update Manager facility provided by the underlying Eclipse platform. But any of these can be used with standlone Aptana Studio or with Aptana Studio plugin for Eclipse.

Aptana Studio based Eclipse Update Manager based
  1. From Install Additional Features dialog
  2. From My Aptana view
  1. From Local Update Site archive
  2. From Remote Update Site

Aptana Studio based

Installation from "Install Additional Features" dialog

This dialog appears by default when Aptana Studio is launched. It can also be found under Help > Install Aptana Features

  1. Select Nokia WRT Plugin.
  2. Click the Install button.
  3. Select plugin(s) to install and adjacent check box.
  4. Click the Next button.
  5. Install Details will appear. Review items, click the Next button.
  6. Select plugin(s), accept the terms of the license agreement.
  7. Click the Finish button.
  8. Restart application.

Installation from My Aptana view

The My Aptana view appears by default when Aptana Studio is launched. It can also be find under Window > My Aptana.

  1. Select Plugins in the main navigation pane.
  2. Click on the Features tab, then select Get it under Nokia Runtime plug-in.
  3. Select plugin(s) to install and adjacent check box.
  4. Click the Next button.
  5. Install Details will appear. Review items, click the Next button.
  6. Select plugin(s), accept the terms of the license agreement.
  7. Click the Finish button.
  8. Restart application.

Eclipse Update Manager based

Installation from Locally archived Update Site

With WRT plug-in zip file saved locally

  1. Download the Plugin Update Site (click on download button at left).
  2. Save this file in an easy-to-find location.
  3. Open Eclipse. Go to Help -> Install New Software
  4. Install pop-up will appear. Click Add. Add Site pop-up will appear.
  5. Click Local. Open pop-up will appear.
  6. Select location of downloaded file from step 1. Select Open.
  7. Enter the name of the plugin in the Name text box. Click OK.
  8. Click Add in the Install window. Select Nokia WRT Plugin (check box). Click Next.
  9. Choose option to accept the terms of license agreement. Click Finish. Click Install All.

Installation from a Remote Update Site

With WRT plug-in on remote Update site

  1. Open Eclipse. Go to Help -> Install New Software
  2. Install pop-up will appear.
  3. In the Work with: text box, type:
  4. Click Add.
  5. Select Nokia WRT Plugin (check box). Click Next.
  6. Choose option to accept the terms of license agreement.
  7. Click Finish. Click Install All.
